This Weekend, JALT National, and more!

Hello Critical Thinkers!

A reminder to our members about upcoming events.

Remember that your own CT SIG’s David Gann will be giving a presentation about Text Reconstruction and Critical Thinking this weekend (Oct. 12th) at the Maebashi Institute of Technology in Gunma. You can check out the Facebook page for more information.

If you have ideas you would like to share, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! The deadlines for the Tohoku event and JALT National events have passed, but we are always looking for ways to share our members’ ideas! Contact our coordinator (Roehl) at either CTScan.editor@gmail.com or program@jaltcriticalthinking.org with your ideas. We would love to work with you to get you published or presenting.

JALT National is coming up soon! We hope all those in attendance will join us for our CT SIG Forum on Saturday (Nov. 22nd) in room 304 from 4:30 to 6:00. Come, meet some current and future members, strike up a conversation and make some new friends!

The Tohoku event schedule is currently being finalized. If you submitted a proposal, best of luck to you and we will announce who will be presenting soon.

We are looking for academic papers for a potential journal next year!

If you have an idea about critical thinking, a new methodology, research data, a strong opinion, or anything else you would like to share with the world, let us know! Contact our publication officer (John) at publications@jaltcriticalthinking.org (make sure to carbon copy ctscan.editor@gmail as well as we are moving to new email addresses) with your ideas so we can get the ball moving. We hope to start offering more and more avenues for our members to develop professionally. We know you have ideas and we want to share them.

That is all for now. Make sure to drop by our booth at JALT International to say “hi” to the officers in attendance. We look forward to meeting you there.

Critically yours,

The CT SIG executive board
