Hello Critical Thinkers!

I would like to bring your attention to two upcoming events that can help you to learn about critical thinking and how you can integrate it into your classrooms.

Cambridge University Press – Academic English Conference

Oct. 19th – 22nd, CUP is offering a free 4-day online conference (that will be available to watch on YouTube afterward) that has a ton of talks on various aspects of Academic English Instruction.

Of particular interest for CT SIG members, our Coordinator, James D. Dunn will be giving a talk on critical thinking in a reading and writing 2nd year course on Wednesday morning (Oct. 20th) at 12pm.

jalt 2021 – Critical thinking sig forum and agm

On Nov. 13th at 10:45am, join the CT SIG for a talk on all things CT in language Education. Topics covered will touch on language education AND career development for educators in Japan. So, join us on Saturday, November the 13th at 10:45am at the JALT 2021 International Conference.

upcoming call for presenters!

We are looking for presenters for our PanSIG 2022 forum in Nagano! Please send in your information to our event coordinator extraordinaire, Wayne Devitte at: program@jaltcriticalthinking.org

Please include:

Your name, Your Affiliation, a Title (10 words max), and an Abstract (60 words max).

Deadline for submissions is the end of November.
