CT SIG Forum / CTLL is Live / CTLL Special Issue / Upcoming Special Event in 2021!

Hello Critical Thinkers!

It’s been a long time since our last update, it has been a crazy year! Would you like to help with our webpage? We need someone to help keep our WordPress site (this one) updated. It isn’t a lot of work and it would look good on your resume!

We have quite a few announcements to make, so here they go:

  • The CT SIG Forum is happening in ONE HOUR! We hope to see you there. You can go to (https://jalt2020.eventzil.la/session/822) to watch if you have a ticket for JALT 2020.
  • The newest issue of Critical Thinking and Language Learning (our peer-reviewed journal) is live on our website! Please head to our CTLL page to download it and give it a read.
  • We will be publishing a SPECIAL ISSUE of our Peer-reviewed journal spring of 2021. Please stay tuned for a more detailed announcement and how you can prepare to write your manuscript AND present on it with the CT SIG in 2021.
  • We will be hosting a Live Online Event in early 2021 to showcase how you dealt with teaching critical thinking online during the pandemic. We hope you will share your solutions to the difficulties we all faced during this especially trying year.

We hope you can join us for this upcoming event. We hope it will be useful for those who participate in giving us ideas on how to deal with classes both online and face to face.

ONE LAST ANNOUNCEMENT

  • We will be holding online voting for the CT SIG Executive Board very soon. If you would like to nominate someone for the following positions, please email the Coordinator, James Dunn, and let them know so that name can go on the ballot.
  • Voting will start in one week from the CT SIG forum and will run for two weeks.
  • Once voting has finished, we will announce the new/returning board members for 2021 in early December.

Thank you so much for being a member of the CT SIG. We hope that we can give you even more opportunities to learn, share, and professionally develop in 2021.

Warm regards,

The CT SIG Executive Board
