Hokkaido Event, CTLL Volume XI is out, and an Upcoming Yokohama JALT Event

Hello Critical Thinkers

We would like to first apologize for the lack of communication over the past few months. The executive board has been busy with life/work and has had little time to work on CT SIG matters. But, we HAVE been busy in the background!

Please find the latest CT SIG information below:

VOLUME SIX of the CTLL Peer-reviewed Journal

has been released to the CTLL page of this website. As always, it is available for free to everyone. We have three very informative and insightful articles for you this year and we hope you find it stimulating. You can head directly to the page HERE.

The Feb 1st and 2nd Hokkaido Event

will have CT SIG members giving presentations on matters of CT and EFL. If you are in the area this weekend, make sure to stop by! You can learn more about the even by going to the JALT Hokkaido event website HERE.

Yokohama JALT’s Event will host the Coordinator of the CT SIG,

James Dunn on Feb. 15th. Yokohama JALT is holding the: Three different approaches to  supporting students’ learning: understanding neurodiversity, working memory, and critical thinking event on the 15th and you are invited to attend and learn about these issues. Make sure to join the after-event dinner!

If you are interested in publishing your work

you should submit a paper to the Critical Thinking and Language Learning Journal! If you have a manuscript that you feel is ready for the peer-review process, you should submit it to Curtis Chu, our intrepid Chief Editor of the CTLL. You can find out more information (as well as download all of the CTLL volumes) HERE.

If you have something a little shorter, but would still like to share, send it to our publication’s chair for adding to our CT Scan Newsletter. We would like to share your ideas with our membership!

So, as you can see,

the CT SIG executive board has been busy, but, again, we do apologize for the lack of communication. Things have calmed down for many of us and we hope to bring many more events like these in 2020 and 2021. Be seeing you soon!
