Okinawa This Weekend. PanSIG 2016 Be There!

Evening Critical Thinkers,

I just wanted to remind you that this is a big weekend for the CT SIG. At the PanSIG International Conference at Meio University, we are going to have some great workshops and presentations for the attendees. Check out the information on our Featured Workshop and CT SIG Forum below:

Critical Thinking SIG Featured Speaker

Join James DeWitt Dunn of Tokai University to hear about and discuss his Cognition-skills-based Reading Comprehension Method. The presentation entitled A Thinking-Skills-Based Reading Comprehension Method involves an explanation of method James implemented in his own classrooms, and saw significant improvement regarding student test scores. The hope is that more university classrooms test this model in order to prove the merits of James’ approach.

Critical Thinking and Thinking Skills are set to become even more important in the coming years as the Japanese educational curriculum is set to change. To help prepare teachers for this shift the Critical Thinking SIG brings to you 90 minutes of essential information and knowledge to enhance, motivate, and refresh your teaching perspectives.

We hope to see you there!
