JALT Needs your vote!

Good morning Critical Thinkers!

This is just a reminder that the OGM vote it still open and for those of you who have not clicked the link (HERE) to vote, you need to do so. We still have not reached quorum and we need everyone to cast their ballot.

The biggest issue on the table it the fee increase for members (Up to 13,000 yen). This is needed to help keep JALT a prosperous organization that can continue to provide you (ALL members of JALT) with the services you currently enjoy. This motion has been introduced due to the tax increase a few years ago and general inflation over the past 20 years. Yes, JALT membership fees have not changed in 20 years. The current fee will not support everything JALT does (Conferences/Publications, Chapter events, SIG events/Publications). FYI: all members who join or renew with the new fee structure will receive one SIG membership (CT SIG!) included with the membership fee.

So, vote your conscience, either yes or no. But DO VOTE. We need it for quorum as a NPO.

Again, here is the link to the voting site: http://jalt.org/2015-1-ogm

You should have gotten an email about the OGM from your local chapter as well. That email will have a personalized link for you. There is a lot more information on the voting website that you can look at.

Thanks for your help in this matter.

Critically Yours,

The CT SIG Executive Board
